I bought this thinking I had two plates as that is what the listing picture shows. The cooker isn't bad overall, but I agree with some of the other reviews regarding the overall quality issues. Two $7+ plates would be fine for this quality, but it's too expensive for one. The underside of the platen is not flat so it moves and rotates very easily if you touch it with your brushes during use. The gold finish is also not particularly stable on the sides/bottom, which is not very noticeable, but does affect the overall impression in the sense of a geode. The actual "slab" part (flat surface) is fine, but the breadth of the rough geode effect (which is pretty nice!) gives you very little room to work with; The actual work area around the plate is about a quarter of an inch smaller. So if you plan to use more than three polishes on it, space is very limited and you risk mixing colors accidentally. For the current price I would not buy it again. Had the price been halved it would have been better value for money but at this price + misleading photo I am disappointed and regret this purchase.
