Review on Panasonic Office Phone Extension Handset - Cordless πŸ“ž Accessory for Wireless Connection with Expandable Base Station, KX-TGWA41B (Black) by Tiffany Thompson

GREAT small office phone system

I've been using an older version of this system from Panasonic, the KX-TG4000B, for many, many years. The base station, which is very similar in functionality to this device, was solid. No problems/repairs. I just replaced the backup battery, a special battery with a plug. I fixed two remote phones but given the age of the system it was perfectly fine. Based on my positive experience with the old system, I was glad this base station was available through Vine. I bought a handset and a desk phone each at full price. Installation is exceptionally easy, I got it up and running in less than 10 minutes. The backup battery now consists of 5 AAA batteries, which can be easily replaced without having to order a special battery. I also connect it to a UPS so I basically have two levels of battery backup for my phone system. Extensions are incredibly easy to register on the base, press one button on the extension and one on the base. It's registered. No need to go through menu systems. This system is also easy to use. Setting up voicemail and checking for messages is very easy. Hold calls, switch to other lines - all very intuitive. All functions are clearly labeled and the menu system is easy to navigate. Caller ID works well and the display is easy to read in a variety of lighting conditions. The processing quality corresponds to the typical Panasonic standards. The phone in particular feels very solid. Now the important part. The main and most important function of this device is making calls and making calls. Call quality is excellent on my end and supposedly on the other end of the call too. The only thing I would have liked would have been a call blocking feature. My old system didn't have it either, but it would have been nice to have. Pay attention to the photo: I have a phone on a plastic stand, under which you can store blocks of messages. It didn't come with the phone. The phone comes with its own mount, allowing you to mount it at one of two angles if you prefer it rather than flat. If you want, you can also mount it on the wall. The KX-TGW420B is a worthy successor to the KX-TG4000B, a system that has served me incredibly well over the years. Another great product from Panasonic.
