Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Corroseal Rust Converter Metal Primer - 1 Gallon, Water-Based Rust Converter by Abidzar Olivas

Follow these tips for Corroseal and convert rust successfully

Solid rust converter. Similar to other converters but water based and cheaper. This is my personal favorite and I've literally tried them all in over twenty years. Rather than cover the territory that other reviewers have shared, let me just provide a few tips on using Corroseal effectively. Tip one: use a needle scaler. Many of the "failed" photos here show that this important step was skipped. Just a needle scaler (or jackhammer if you have the patience) will remove the layered rust. A wire brush or sandpaper will not remove the layers. Start with a needle scaler. Second tip: sandpaper. Wire brushes can pick up rust and create a polished finish. Use sandpaper to expose and remove loose rust. Tip #3: Avoid using oil-based cleansers prior to application. Also, don't use soap.duh YouTube folks. Rubbing alcohol is cheap and works well for this step. Tip Four: Apply it in a thick layer. This is possibly the most valuable advice I can give about Corroseal. Don't just brush on a layer and go. Apply one layer, wait 15 minutes and then apply another. Wait 15 minutes again and apply another coat. Most applications fail or brown spots appear on top because the product was not applied thick enough. Be generous with him, dress him up.
