I have 2006 eclipse gs. and the metal part of my key fob broke, to crank it I left the metal part in the ignition and I would hang the key fob on that too. hold and crank. called the locksmith and they said they couldn't make a key for it because the machines couldn't program it. called the dealer and they wanted 300. This one and got a $5 key from a locksmith and everything works. like a charm.
