I bought this, like many others, specifically to shoot my cats when they misbehave. It works well. It fires 3 bursts in a dispersion pattern that works at 12, 4, and 8 o'clock if you fire at the center of the clock. The triple spray is good for stopping cat fights as you are more likely to hit multiple participants. They also make a bigger impression. I don't think it will shoot more than 6ft with any accuracy due to the downstream spread. It leaks if it's on its side, but it has a comfortable wide handle and as long as you don't fill it more than halfway, leaking shouldn't be a problem. To be honest I only expect leaks from any water gun. I've never seen it leak. Just think about where you installed it, you know? I like to add a little apple cider vinegar to my water for two reasons. 1. It's antibacterial so prevents bacterial growth (which is nice as my cats have to bathe afterwards) 2. It tastes bad so it adds a secondary discipline as they have to clean it ourselves for those of us whose cats like "Whatever I want to drink, I don't have to go out drinking right now." Crazy cats.
