Review on 🔧 iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit: The Ultimate Electronics, Smartphone, Computer & Tablet Repair Kit by David Edwards

I love the number of items in this set and they are all useful but the Philips 000 and 00 bits really should be a few mils longer. The photo shows that Y000 is long and P000 is oddly short. Also, the #2 short triangle doesn't get you to McDonald's kids toys. I had trouble removing two P000 M1.4 x 3.2mm screws from an old HP ElitePad. Very sad to report that the P000, which I thought was a crappy set from Harbor Freight, actually removed the screws where the iFixit screwdriver and bits didn't work. After that painful and embarrassing experience was over, the usefulness of the iFixit kit was revealed with a tray for mounting screws, including six internal ones that hold the battery, spatulas, and blue tools for opening the case (the suction cup somehow worked, but sucks, so not good for this part either), the screwdriver is very smooth-running and very well suited for filigree and precise manual work, and the tweezers for gripping fallen screws. I love how the foam holds the beats. Very clean and organized and easy to get back. I wish the P000 and P00 were 3mm longer and the #2 triangular nozzle was 5mm longer. Bit handlers can easily do this with existing bits because there is a lot of steel hanging from the holder that could be machined to the outside diameter of the bit's working end without affecting the way the driver holds the bits. .
