The processor is very fast and cool. In sound processing, the increase is very significant. However, before you change your old machine to a new one, I still advise you to install an SSD drive instead of a regular HDD, which will show the real level of performance of your computer. Then you can already proceed to change the platform, if necessary. In any case, the new processors are more productive than the old ones, and with them it also makes sense to switch to new Windows. By the way, speaking of Windows 7 under Kaby lake. They are installed, but the driver for the graphics core is extremely unstable. Therefore, you will need to install a separate video card. On the other hand, there is no certainty that MS will ate such Windows at all. Therefore, for myself, I decided to switch to 10.0. Together with 16 GB of memory, the 250 GB WD Blue SSD made the computer very fast, and the quiet chassis made the work even more enjoyable.
