Review on ๐Ÿšด Radbot 1000 Tail Light by Portland Design Works by Pushkraj Barton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The light would be great if it didn't go out while driving. Dangerous and annoying :(

The main reason I chose this taillight was because it came with a trunk bag. 80% of the time I use a trunk bag so seat post mounts are useless to me. .Buying a separate bracket for other taillights is prohibitive as I'm not in the US Paying almost $20 for cheap plastic parts (shipping included) just isn't right I've been using them for a few days because I need them frequently use I drive to work at midnight Where I live it has been raining almost every night for at least 5 months It has survived a couple of heavy downpours so far with no visible damage The light is really very bright (but not as bright as the Cygolite Hotshot 2W , the I dropped and lost due to a bad mount), enough to be well-lit even at night in the rain eten streets to be seen. Can't say anything Need battery life because I haven't used it that many hours anymore. The rack mount is fine, fits a Topeak rack. It seems solid enough and the light doesn't rattle or fall off, when driving over bumps. The main problem with this light is that it turns off randomly while driving. Checking every traffic light to make sure it's on is not only tiring, it's also dangerous. The first night it happened (25 minute drive) I thought it would turn off when I got home. At first I thought maybe I didn't turn it on at all after installing it. The second night I purposely turned it on and set it to "zZz, zZzPOP!" mode. While driving, I finally stopped at a traffic light to find that the damn light had gone out again. I turned it on and it seemed to work fine, but when I got home it was off again. All in all, this might be a quality and affordable taillight, but it's not reliable enough. I have to check that the light is working every time I stop. 40% of the time I have to turn it back on. I hope PDW customer service can do something about this, but I doubt it because returning/replacing items from outside the US is really problematic.
