I was looking for a double square for my apron instead of the working square I was using. I didn't want to pay an exorbitant price for Starrett or Mitutoyo so I did some research and came across good reviews on this 4 inch iGaging double square. I bought it. Out of the box - all the other comments I've read were correct - the movements are crisp and the edges are sharp. So I spent 30 minutes using needle files and sandpaper to finish the edges; However, this did little to aid the gliding action between the rule and the blade. If you usually run your fingernail over the fields of the grove, you can feel the traces that the processing has left. It is generally ground on both ends and is 4 inches long on the bottom right. Spring. is it square? After putting it on my known squares and doing the squares test, it's square enough for my woodworking projects. The engravings on the rule are correct. The 32nd and 64th marks are light in places. If you want a 64th accuracy you'll need to go to the Starrett, but if you just want to check the wood stock for squareness and measure to the 16th in a pocket square then this is what you need to need.
