Okay, let's clear something up. I love Soylent. I use a lot of blenders. Dude, if you want to improve your shakers, talk to the Soylent subreddit. It's a fact. At the same time, they are very effective when mixing fine powders ;). The peanut butter chunks blended easily. Haven't tried anything thicker. The spout is a good size, it's comfortable to drink from the bottles. Now for some criticisms: Noise: They are noisy. You hear liquid sloshing and the metal mixer ball rattling, and it's quite loud. And the hinged lid has a sharp click (becomes quieter, closes it only when the lids are screwed down). When you finish drinking, the ball will rattle loudly. Idk what do you expect. Can't stop gravity, dummy. Seal: A secure seal inspires trust to the point where I can throw a sealed bottle, maybe a quarter full, in the back seat of my car and have a 99% chance of knowing it's Gucci. Cleaning: They are easy to hand wash and dry (even air dry is EASY). However, there are parts of the bottle that are too small to easily clean. Wear over time: dark bottles like light purple/pink? you wear out noticeably, since scratch marks on the plastic show up as lighter areas, as with any other plastic. I think it's fine, plastic is a good material for this. Also, the top hinge of the lid will become more flexible over time. It can get annoying when you end up drinking and your cocktail gets in your face. So far it hasn't happened that often, but I can say it happens. To make the lid quieter, it moves from side to side like the lid of a paint can] Nowadays, some companies believe that they deserve the asking price for their products, and some of them are right.
