A great buy for a beginner/ will need adjustments to get them to hit

I’ve been cutting hair since the 8th grade so I’ll give a detailed review on both clippers you can trust. Starting of with the clipper and the pros, build quality is great should last, out of the box it was at 100 percent, battery life is excellent. After a 45 min cut battery was at 94 percent. You can zero gap the the blade but it cut good right out the box. Was able to blend out fade lines with no problem at all. The guards included with the set are similar to wahl’s professional guards which are the best in the game in my opinion. You don’t have to worry about them popping off. The motor sounds like a rotary motor but I’m not 100% sure. It’s not the most powerful clipper I’ve used but it has enough power to cut through course hair without getting bogged down, had no problem debulking a fro. There’s only one con, the guide lever has some play and if you are someone who is used to flicking the lever on the go then you’ll have to be careful here. The lever seems sturdy but for some reason it seems the the cast they made in manufacturing is slight off with the tooling. Not sure if this is a quality control issue or if this is just a random set that got by. All in all it’s not a deal breaker. Now for the trimmer. The pros, build quality is excellent and battery life is as well. Cons (sort of), it is not powerful at all. It’s is zero gapped out the box but can be zero gapped a little tighter. Once I did that, they did improve. If you know what you are doing they can get the job done. They should be great for shaving bald heads, shaving your face if you are sensitive to razors, balding fades. Where they lack is edging, you will definitely need to comb/bush loose hairs down as you edge, pay attention to the natural hair line or beard line and go over any spots that may need sharpened up. Overall not a terrible trimmer but for the price you can’t beat it. This is definitely a set you should pick up if you are learning to cut hair and with a few adjustments/modifications they would stand up well with some of the top brand clippers you can buy.

Pros
  • The cordless design offers complete freedom of movement and makes it easy to take your haircuts on the go, without the hassle of cords and wires
Cons
  • The clipper set is not versatile enough for different hair thicknesses
