I have a 20 year old Sony CDX 455 400 disc CD player that I bought a few years ago and used it for the first time a few weeks ago after a month or two and it won't load CDs for playback. Put on my tinfoil hat and searched Al Gore's time machine lol investigated possible problems and determined that the straps were probably overstretched. After reading the technical manual and watching some videos of similar models, two of the three Walla straps have been replaced and they are back in business. These players cost between $500 and $800. 00 used I can live a few more years and buy a spares kit I have over 200 CDs and over 5 terabytes of mp3 files. I'm streaming from my NAS at home. now it will be much more useful :)
