Its clock functions and beeps work well for an alarm clock. I was hoping that the larger size would improve the sound, but alas. Reminds me of transistor radios from the '60s. When iHome made iPod products they focused on sound quality with sound enhancements like SRS making them sound great! By integrating with telephone technology, they shifted their focus to sound quality. Disappointing. The Bluetooth connection is also unreliable. I have an older model and it's solid, another model I have from that era prompted me to buy this 'better' one. While not better, there is a tenuous connection. I'm done with iHome products. They were pretty good in the days of the 32-pin iPod, but things have gone downhill since then.
