These are beautiful little lights that create a great mood. If you've ever seen "Pirates of the Caribbean" at the Walt Disney theme park, with dimmed candlelight and glowing bugs floating in the water, the scene, those candles evoke that exact setting. The random nature of the change in light levels makes them quite magical. My wife used them in handmade miniature display lanterns for a giant revolving door that has a widely divided display area. With automatic timer settings (4 or 8 hours) and large button batteries (included), they'll run for weeks during business hours without having to open doors and climb inside to change batteries. It needs long-lasting candles and a timer function. We knew they flickered, but the way the random flicker looks was an added bonus. This is an amazing purchase.
