Review on 🌐 Enhance GPS Connectivity with Dual Electronics XGPS160: Multipurpose Universal 5 Device Bluetooth Receiver featuring Wide Area Augmentation System and Portable Attachment by Jay Jeong

For my purposes the Garmin GLO is better than the XGPS160

Garmin GLO is better than XGPS160 for my purposes:- When used with the Gaia GPS app for iPhone (iPhone 7) while driving in a car, XGPS160 track logs often have gaps of a few seconds with no location report. There were no such gaps in the GLO tracklogs. The XGPS160 never automatically connected to the iPhone 7's Bluetooth - I had to manually reconnect it each time. - GLO was significantly more accurate when the view of the southern sky was obscured by steep slopes or tall redwoods. This may be because the view of geostationary WAAS satellites was partially or totally blocked (these satellites increase GPS accuracy from +/- 15m to +/- 3m) and perhaps GLO is better able to deal with this one to cope with the situation. In the plane where the southern sky was not obscured, both devices had very similar accuracy. For comparison, I used Gaia GPS to record tracks with the GLO while also using the XGPS160's logging mode (without a Bluetooth connection to the device). iphones). I recorded 6 rides on the same routes through the Santa Cruz Mountains and then across the plains in the San Francisco Bay Area. Where the southern sky was clear, the tracks from the two devices were very close, usually within 10 feet. But when the southern skies were closed, the GLO tracks were more consistently close to each other and to street locations on Google Maps. The XGPS160 tracks were often 30-50 feet apart. The Dual XGPS Status Tool is a good utility (too bad Garmin doesn't have an equivalent), but it has a few quirks: - WAAS satellites were never reported. , although the above comparison with the GLO showed that they were in fact used by the XGPS160. Tracks were often wrongly listed multiple times on the Trips page.

Pros
  • ADDITIONAL AREA PROVISION SYSTEM – This highly sensitive system allows your device to connect to multiple satellites to provide accurate and reliable GPS positions within +/- 2.5m (CEP ) to provide a top speed of 1150 mph. and a maximum elevation of 65,600 feet.
Cons
  • Short manual
