Review on Shine Like A Star In Metme'S Sequin Fringed Gatsby Dress by Catherine Schwarzer

Follow the Chart for my opinion

I was looking for something traditionally 20s. A nearly impossible task on short notice. So, I decided to go with the not-true-to-the-era, but widely accepted fringe dress in a length, color and fit that were a good substitution.I sized up 2 sizes for the correct shift dress fit. The straight cut of the dress allows for this fairly well, though it still showed more shape than I was hoping for. Adding a faux fur-trimmed poncho pushed it to the desired look. All items for the outfit were purchased on Best Buy.The length, including fringe, hit the correct point- this may be longer than most people want, hitting right at the knee. The liner is between the length of the 2 layers of fringe, at about mid-thigh. With correct fit it does not creep up, as it hangs loosely on the hips. It DOES, however, show through the fringe. I could see this looking strange on a multi-color dress, where the liner doesn't match the fringe. Luckily- the solid color blends. The quality is good, no strange odors, slight gapping at the arm hole. I believe this is due to the cut - meaning the bustline pushes out the fabric. It could easily be tailored but I won't add darts, as I don't want that style of fit. The gapping is minimal [see front of the arm] and barely noticeable.
