This is exactly what I wanted. I can have two screens with my M1 MacBook Air and use it in clamshell mode. The clamshell didn't work at first, but after some searching I found that I needed to connect the power directly to the computer, not through a hub. Once I did that, the dual screen clamshell worked. I think it's a great device, everything works as expected and I'm very happy with my new setup to work with. I wanted to share this in case anyone is looking for and considering a way to use their dual screen MacBook M1 in clamshell mode. Act!
