I didn't know Roku remotes didn't work. The remote for our Roku TV stopped working after about a year and a half. So I got this and it worked great. Hope you don't have to change that anytime soon. I actually think it's more durable than what came with the TV. Love the little remote control holder that comes with it, but the TV is in the kids playroom and I doubt they'll ever remember putting it there when they're done watching TV, but it's still nice to have it closed to have.
