. I bought it to use as a preamp and from then on a set of wireless headphones for my mum who is very, very hard of hearing. When I visited her, I got tired of yelling at her so that she could hear me. Once everything was hooked up and testing began, I was completely blown away. When I first plugged it in I thought something was wrong with the mic or the system or whatever because I could hear the music and nothing was playing in the room. After about 5 minutes of checking it finally dawned on me that it was the music playing downstairs and throughout the room. This music cannot be heard without a microphone and preamplifier. Absolutely amazed at how well this mic picks up sound not only from 5-10 feet away but you can still hear something even from 20-30 feet away. Excellent quality!
