I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ with Otterbox Defender. This came with 2 panels, I placed them in rubber on a black plastic otter box in a figure eight pattern so I could position them low or high on the magnet base. Light bumps will make him fall off any record. Otterbox and phone together seem too heavy for this magnet. The base sits securely on my dash and the device is adjustable enough to hold it in multiple positions while I'm not actually driving.
