I needed this SFF 8087 SATA Forward Breakout Cable, 3.3ft, which has an SFF 8087 connector on my LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i RAID SBA -Card with 4 SATA connects hard disk. SATA connectors are typical of many cables, nothing special, they're not too difficult to install or remove, just press a small springy metal tab and the cable can be removed. They snap into place with little effort. In hindsight, I may have tried finding cables with right angle SATA connectors since there wasn't much room between the connector and my case, but it worked without having to bend the wires. It is important that the wires are not crimped during installation. The cable itself was long enough. I have mine in a large mid-tower PC case that has the stacked and connected hard drives to the right of the motherboard so there were a lot of cables around the case. This cable would also fit into a larger case, be it a server case or a larger tower PC case. A 1.6ft cable might also work, but when I ordered it I didn't want to risk it because it's too short. It's better to run the cable around the perimeter of the case than to make it too short or too close to the blocking airflow heat source.
