much smaller than stated

Label says 14" x 8" x 4-7/8". But the widest size is only 12-3/4"x7"x4-3/8" and the bottom of the bag is even smaller. That's quite a big difference because the items I bought it for didn't fit (stupid thought an 8" wide item would fit in an 8" wide box) and instead I had to repurpose a cardboard shoe box. I don't understand the point of mislabeling a wrong sized product and charges ) !), so I need to find something else to use it for.
