Review on MagnaFlow Exhaust Products 14158 Muffler by Adam Jacobs

I've replaced my entire exhaust with a 2.5" CA Legal High Flow Cat racing exhaust except it's a straight pipe. Laguna is 92DB so bought it to down as it claims to cover the most rigorous tracks. Far from it actually still sounded like a straight trumpet. Exhausts are the subtle science of sound waves and pressure waves for every application I've learned now. Had to buy another 14" long muffler (the longest I could fit now) to lower it and it's still 97db! It would be better to buy a bigger and cheaper straight through muffler instead. My guess is, that this muffler will remove about 6dB from the exhaust I think the blower plays a big role in volume although the car sounds amazing and breathes a lot better at high rpm the quality is great and it looks great but you would still buy it just to fix your audio problem otherwise there are cheaper ones out there.. there.
