The instrument arrived properly packaged and undamaged upon delivery. Installation was pretty easy. I removed the table top, turned it over and screwed the vise back into place. After replacing the tabletop with supports, I tried different types of mounts. Compared to my old vise, the vise holds much better and doesn't require much turning of the jaws. Minuses:. Wooden paneling of the cheeks. The magnetic back is a good idea, but the grip is too weak and the pads sometimes slip into the jaws when inserting or removing blanks. I don't know how much the vises cost because they are added, but I wouldn't buy them individually. The pull is generally good, but the specific implementation does not allow simply turning the vise onto the workpiece, at least that is my experience. The quick release is used to open and close the jaws with a slight turn of the handle. This would not be a problem without the magnetic sponge pads. Trying to install a part that can move the magnetic pads is a bit of a hassle. The solution is to make your own pads and attach them to the jaws, which are equipped with threaded holes for that.
