Review on Omix Ada 17716 15 Accelerator Cable by Russell Smith

I broke off the plastic tabs on the throttle body on my 92 xj. I needed a replacement and the dealer was charging over $200! I was thinking of spending the 200 for parts on a scrapped XJ when I saw this on Amazon. It fits well and works well. I had trouble getting through the firewall to get to the pedal, but I managed in the end. It is better to place the gas side first and then the pedal side. The accelerator pedal feels stiffer than the previous 22-year-old. **** To update! I deducted two stars from my original rating. I just wanted to renew my relationship with this cable. While this cable isn't quite on me yet, I don't like the stiff feeling I get from it. I reconfigured the cable and it helped for about a week, but then it got stiff again. While the throttle doesn't stick, I think there is too much friction in the plastic bushing against the metal cable. At some point something will fail. I'm looking for a new one, but now I have to do this.
