Accelerator pedal hard to press

Cable works as it should, easy to install, only problem the cable is very tight! You have to put your foot on the pedal to accelerate. Drives me crazy, installed for over 6 months with no change.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Good cable, very easy install

This was a very easy install. I don't understand other people's problems. It's plastic, so maybe the cold weather will make the plastic brittle, who knows. It took me 10 minutes to understand and do this on a '92 Cherokee. Don't think about it and take your time and it won't break. If he sends it back, you bought it from Revain.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Something different

Do not buy this cable. He's missing something inside.

Do not buy this cable. An inner core is missing over the braided throttle cable. As stated in the previous poster, it's stiffer than the OEM cable and doesn't fit very well through the firewall, connector sizes are too big. We actually had to file some holes in the firewall and throttle body mount to mount them (I know that was my first tip for not using this thing). The cable's stiffness is drag, and the drag is so great that when you release the throttle, the throttle stays open momentarily…

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Damaged

Great for my 92 XJ! (Updated)

I broke off the plastic tabs on the throttle body on my 92 xj. I needed a replacement and the dealer was charging over $200! I was thinking of spending the 200 for parts on a scrapped XJ when I saw this on Amazon. It fits well and works well. I had trouble getting through the firewall to get to the pedal, but I managed in the end. It is better to place the gas side first and then the pedal side. The accelerator pedal feels stiffer than the previous 22-year-old. **** To update! I deducted two…

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Safety
