Review on πŸ’™ Safety First Cradle Cap Brush and Comb, White/Blue by Sylvia Young

Works amazing for a heavy cradle!

Warning: This photo is disgusting. My son has some pretty serious skin problems. It's bad enough we're seeing an allergist. When he got lullaby dermatitis, the allergist said it was the worst thing she'd ever seen. We used a medicated shampoo every day but it didn't help so I bought this brush in hopes that we could get rid of the itching, dryness and bleeding. My son has a lot of hair so rubbing the skin doesn't really help. We used the brush tonight and damn yes it worked! We still have to do another round, but his scalp is looking a lot better. Now his shampoo really gets to the skin that needs it. The picture shows some scales that we collected with a comb after rubbing with a brush. We spent a good 15 minutes combing through the dead skin and wiping the brush, then brushing again. We rubbed the comb probably 30 times, each time the comb was loaded with flakes as shown in the picture. In other words, A LOT. So yes, this little device will get the job done. Thoroughly. If your child has scabs from itching, the brush will pick up some of them and cause more bleeding. It's really gentle, but it's supposed to pull things out to make crusts. But our son was bleeding again only from places already covered with scabs, this was not causing any additional bleeding. Again, our son has a lot of hair and that worked great. Our son is almost a year old. And while he didn't necessarily enjoy the process, he tolerated it as long as his bath toys distracted him. I would recommend rinsing the shampoo out of your hair before combing. It's easier to see what you're doing.
