Review on Get Creative With AROIC'S 48 Pack Paint Pens - Write On Any Surface With Ease! by Ashwin Worlds

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Read the reviews, liked the price; if I could return them I would.

Maybe I got a bad batch? Maybe I don’t know how to use them correctly? Maybe they aren’t all that great?I count on reviews and they highly influence all my Revain purchases; the reviews were mostly positive and the price was very appealing! However, if I could return these pens I would. :(What caught my eye was "Write on Anything” and "HIGH COVERING”; while they do write on anything (so far) they are NOT high covering. The nib is hard and scrubs off the first layer of paint even with little pressure applied. The paint flow is poor, except for one pen. Maybe there is a trick that I don’t know to make the nib flow better? I’ve shaken them over and over hoping it was just settled from storing/shipping, but that hasn’t helped. There are a few colors that don’t match the pen top at.all. Not a big deal since I color swatch everything. Speaking of color swatching.it’s almost a must with these as there is no number or color name on these pens. One of the pen caps looked purple however turned out to be much closer to a pink/mauve. I really should pay more attention to how/if markers are color labeled because, for me, it’s kind of important; as it is, I make a color swatch and have to label the pens as well to make the swatch relevant.Since they are marketed "for Rock Painting”, that’s probably the best surface. If your looking for pens to truly work on any surface, keep looking. These aren’t horrible, but they aren’t amazing either.

Pros
  • Easy use...dries fairly quick so colors don't bleed
Cons
  • It may be difficult to get an even flow of ink from some pens
