Review on Honda 91231-891-003 Oil Seal (6X11X4): Genuine Replacement Part for Honda Engines by Michael Morgan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Do not exceed torque. best in parts

The shaft sealing rings fit perfectly. First I wiped it with a thin layer of grease 00 (a few drops of oil from the dipstick is enough) I removed the control lever. roll pin. Hold the governor shaft with pliers, remove the clamp, and while holding the governor shaft with the pliers, push the gasket into the hole (you don't want to accidentally push the shaft into the crankcase while sliding the gasket around the shaft .Hold her tight!) Attention! All DIYers with a 10mm wrench. The governor arm has a gap at the bottom where it goes around the shaft. To think that the gap must close when tightening the nut is 100% wrong. Tighten just enough to pinch the shaft and Honda recommended torque is 7 ft-lbs. It's just one or two forces. A previous service technician destroyed this lever using over 80 ft-lbs of torque to completely close the gap and stretched the aluminum lever to the point where it had no clamping force. Don't repeat this man's mistake. I'm sitting here waiting for a new hand behind a 300lb gorilla with a 10mm
