halogen bulb replacement. Much colder and less powerful. The only problem is that they are larger in diameter than halogen bulbs, so the UV protection doesn't turn back on. Generally not a problem as the LEDs don't protect against UV and for me as they are under something but if your puck lights are open then not being able to return the cover can be an aesthetic issue.
