Smooth touch surface, works great. But it's good that there are two protectors in the box, because the first one can go for a test run or training. My first attempt failed. No matter how much I cleaned the iPad's surface, I still had a tiny speck of dust that really stood out. I removed the protective film but the stain stuck to it and wouldn't remove. I cleaned the iPad screen very well and kept blowing on it while attaching the second protector and everything worked great. No bubbles or other things that would disturb the image on the screen. The framework helps a lot; I have installed iPhone and iPad screen protectors with and without this frame and definitely prefer the frame. I'm sorry I lost the first protection I put on, but that's what happens when there's dust or other things in the air when you put this protection on. Just try to work fast and keep dirt off the screen. 12/26/2020: A few days ago I attached a screen protector to my second iPad Pro. Again a perfect fit. It went on smoothly. There was a small bubble that I couldn't get rid of, but I lifted the corner and let the screen come down and that eliminated the bubble. I would use this brand again with great results on two iPads. And it's good that I have two protectors in the kit, so I have a spare just in case.
