I was about to install additional equipment on my truck and wanted to get it right so I bought this torque sensor. I preferred to get a small device that I can attach to other wrenches with a suitable adapter, rather than a separate torque wrench, which I probably won't use very often. This adapter was a little more expensive than I thought it would be, but it's digital and comes with adapters for both 3/8" and 1/4" jacks. Although I had to jump for the batteries myself, I don't know why I thought they were on. Anyway it works. This works exactly as I had hoped. The instructions are easy to follow and once you've set the correct units and maximum torque, the sensor will tell you where you are. You can read the numbers, of course, but the light and beep also tell you how close you are. In my video you can see the light turns red and beeps as I approach 20 ft-lb. I installed it. I've been working under a truck so this was just what I needed and now I'm sure everything is installed to spec.
