I bought this unit for my wife a few months ago but have not reviewed it as it is a product that takes time to notice any imperfections. I've previously bought Sunbeam electric blankets from Walmart and we seem to change one every year - eventually they all just stop working or get so worn out that I don't feel safe about her using them. So far I'm impressed with it. This duvet is probably one of the softest I've tried. It has a preheat function and heat settings from 1 to 20. I found around 14 to be the golden point - anything above that is too hot. I've washed it probably half a dozen times with no damage or loss of function. It was about double what I've paid for previous comforters, but if it continues to hold up I have no complaints. I have recommended it to all my friends and family! UPDATE 11/29/2020. It seems I spoke too soon in my previous review. I was just embarrassed having this blanket for a year now it's frayed and rolled all over the place. I followed all the instructions, washed in the light and dried on low heat, and now fluff is starting to fall everywhere. It cannot be used at the moment as it makes a mess on my bedding and carpet. I was sorely disappointed when I paid almost $90 for it back then. At the time of writing this, it's dropped to $55 to rub salt in my wounds. It feels like I've been completely ripped off. avoid it!
