Perfect for skimming cold fat from soups or anything that requires fat skimming. It also does a great job when you need to take something out of the pan (bay leaves, pieces of chicken, etc.). I use mine quite a bit and I really like how durable and well made it is. I've used it regularly to get the chicken out of the broth. Often these are large pieces, and they don't bend or bend in any way. I used it to fetch fruit from pitchers, tea bags from pitchers. the use is almost limitless.
