UPDATE: After some use, I noticed that the stitching on one of the support caps was unraveling. I need a heavy needle/thread to fix this. This is disappointing as the playpen has only been raised/lowered a few times and hasn't seen much wear and tear. FIRST REVIEW: This playpen was tested on puppies this weekend and passed with flying colours! Assembly is easy - the "spikes" are bent together and inserted into the sewn-in outer slots. There is a ledge at the top so the pup cannot jump onto the ledge to escape. The top can be closed with a zipper. There's also a zippered door that can be held open with a sewn-in Velcro strap. So far the pup has been trying to chew on the Velcro door and cloth tag and they have been holding on with their sharp teeth. She's also tried chewing on the web pages and so far I don't see her succeeding in doing any harm. The playpen is lightweight but will withstand the pup's sideways bangs. The base is made of the same material as the body and is NOT waterproof. You must use a waterproof barrier under the arena.
