A few things about this monitor to know before you buy it. I don't know if it's just my device, but 144hz on this monitor is unstable (looks like it's factory overclocked just so they can list that 144hz on the label). Screen tears with g-sync and with v-sync. It works smoothly once you crank it down to 120Hz. This is the biggest scam. Otherwise the monitor itself is great. The colors are good. Viewing angles are good. Excellent stand. Some people will say that 1080p widescreen isn't necessary because of the pixel density, but 1440p is better. Don't listen to her. It's all about preference, image quality and performance. If you're a gamer who prefers more frames, get a 1080p monitor. Getting a 1440p widescreen image requires more graphic resources to advance and lose potential FPS. My experience with this is from a 144Hz 16:9 tan panel. The widescreen experience is amazing. I don't think I can go back. Even at 120Hz it's worth it. UPDATE CHANGE: I've been using the monitor for a long time now, about a month later. It appears that screen tearing has been fixed on 144Hz settings. There must have been a break-in period for the monitor to function properly. I've had the monitor for about a year, no problems now, I'm changing the rating to 5 stars.
