I almost lost my Yukon due to a defective STOCK unit. If they fail, they get very hot and can burn your car down if they short out. That almost happened to my Yukon. I have an auto start and after starting the car 15 minutes before work each day, on this particular MONDAY I walked out to find my system full of electrical smoke and the device under the dash was actually producing flames. I saw these units burn the bodies of GM 800s. Do not use a standard replacement part as they do not have enough cooling fins and get very hot. This unit has 6 cooling fins compared to the standard 4 and has a much better design than the standard unit. Don't buy the Dorman because it's the exact same part as this one and it's better made and it's $20 less. JMO
