I don't know why the battery life was an optional feature to rate, they don't run on battery, they plug into a USB port, that's not a complaint I wise just point it out. I love my little fan, I work in control cabinets all day and usually have to sit in a hot environment and type programs in front of my laptop, but this little wonder fan makes those horribly hot days more bearable and easily fits in my laptop bag. .
