Tall poppies! best art, painting and artist supplies

Poppies are so important internationally that they are often lost in the US. I like references to memories in the UK and admonitions not to be a big poppy in Australia and New Zealand. But I think these are nice, simple flowers, and I thought it would be a colorful, fun project. Don't expect a photorealistic final project when it's done. The finished project will look impressionistic, but the image contributes well. I love working on it while listening to audiobooks or music. The grid is easy to use with all numbers and capital letters for symbols. I would set the patience level (or skill level) from BEGINNER to INTERMEDIATE because the canvas size is average in relation to the number of colors to be applied. This screen only has 17 colors, which is far below average for a screen of this size. You can make longer rows of the same color if you have the right tools (this set comes with a drill head with nine drill bits, but I prefer the shorter ones), but of course you'll still puncture in many places. I would recommend buying a head that allows you to place three and/or six diamonds at a time to cycle through larger areas of the same color faster. Everything you absolutely need for this project is included. My general thoughts on diamond painting: Always check your diamond painting first upon receipt to make sure the adhesive on the canvas reaches all edges of the picture. If not, order a replacement. This is a rare problem and thankfully not encountered with this canvas, but it is the first important step in any project. Diamond painting for me is a relaxing activity, it takes the best parts of puzzle solving and cross stitching and combines them into one activity. The end result is that you get a work of art when you want to use it. Sure, it seems like I'm creating more art than I can realistically use, but for the price of one of these kits, it's cheap therapy. I have a briefcase to store the canvases before and after they are made to keep them flat. The details of the image are certainly not as sharp as in the photo, but make for a pointillist painting with brilliance. I love the art styles of Pointillism and Impressionism, so I like them a lot in many ways.

Pros
  • crafts and sewing
Cons
