Review on 🔧 High-Performance Water Pump Kit for Mercruiser Alpha One & Mercury 2-Stroke Outboards - Replaces 46-96148Q8 18-3517 by Brent Gurney

Everything fit perfectly and seemed to be of good quality but after a few weeks my water pressure dropped. After removing the pump for inspection, the small tab that aligns the impeller cup and prevents the cup from rotating in the plastic housing broke off (I'm guessing it's in my motor somewhere now). The cup spun, wearing down the water pump housing and making a nice groove on the propshaft. Now it has been replaced by a normal water pump. It could have been an isolated case, I don't know. Neither I nor the people at my local mercury dealer have ever experienced this before.
