we have three different ozone generators between different family members. The other two are electronically controlled and don't have an air pump to clean the water, but they're also smaller. They are also more difficult to use. This generator is about the size of a large 4-slice toaster. The timer dial is mechanical - you know what you're typing - you can hear it ticking. There are two switches, one for the ozone generator and the other for water. It generates a decent volume and is very quiet. As with any ozone generator, the area is not accessible to people or pets during treatment and must remain empty for up to an hour. When using it in the basement, I have to make sure that I turn off the air conditioning because the air intake is in the basement. No complaints - it's well made and easy to use.
