Update: I've had these playpens for 6 years now. They still work and I haven't found anything better on the market. The weld broke off in one spot, so we're going to check each joint now to make sure the ferrets haven't come loose. I can't say I've treated them well, but they're still holding up. I bought two of these to take my ferrets or chinchillas outside and let them roam the grass without worrying about them getting out of their harness and running away. They are perfect for that. I searched for a long time before deciding on this product. It is well made and very easy to assemble. The bars are perfectly spaced and there is too much height between the horizontal bars for my pets to stand up and climb over. Although they don't even try because when I put them together there is so much space that they don't mind being closed. My favorite summertime activity is setting it up and sitting inside with the ferrets reading a book while they run and dig. I usually put toys and whistles in there and they have a great time! I would buy again and again. The only thing that doesn't excite me so much is that it's quite heavy and awkward to carry. Getting in and out can be a hassle. But hey, we do this to keep our furry babies happy!
