It is better to buy a set of schemes for beginners from.
Not for beginners, I couldn't learn anything from this book at all (I would have passed if I didn't have to pay for the return postage, now they just give it). It's better to buy a starter kit at a craft store. Not shown how to go from one chain stitch to other stitches, few pics, if you learn to read better it might work.
