Review on 🦵 Alpha Medical Three Panel Knee & Leg Immobilizer - 14 inch Length: Enhancing Stability and Support for Knee Splint, Knee Brace - L1830 by Tyler Cooley

Original design modified by the manufacturer that is NOT GOOD

After my surgeon ordered me to wear a stabilizing knee brace for 6 weeks, I researched Revain and read the reviews. I chose this item based on reviews of comfort, price, and quality. After it arrived, I attempted to put the orthosis on by following the "Instructions for Use and Installation” that came with the orthosis. All my efforts couldn't get the brace to lie flat or stay in place when I tried to walk with it. I had to call a friend who came to my house to help me in the COVID-19 isolation situation. When we both tried to tighten it and looked again at the photos in the instructions, we realized that one of the side panels only had buckles and not the two Velcro straps shown in the instructions. I called the phone number provided in the instructions and spoke. to customer service for some answers. The CS representative was helpful and immediately reassured me that they would send a replacement and return the envelope for the original. The package arrived and upon opening I found that the replacement hanger was identical to the original that was sent to me. I called customer service again and had to leave a message due to the time zone difference. The next day I called again. The same CS representative told me that she listened to my message and then checked all available stock only to find that the supplier had changed the original design and CS had not been notified. The manager was out of the office that day so I was told I would have to wait until the weekend to discuss the matter with him and give me further instructions. I called again on Monday and was told the new design would be the same as the bandage that would be sold. The new design does not allow the strut to be in front of the front. Difficult to find a set of straps and buckles, and it takes 4 hands to tighten it to keep it from slipping off while walking. For a person living alone this would not be ideal, especially if it is a post hip dislocation situation where one wrong move could cause the hip to pop out again. UNKIND. Please note that this email does not contain instructions on how to install the new design on your foot. A CS representative helped with all my phone calls. My last phone call ended with an agreement that I would return both staples in the envelope provided for the return of the original staple. I was promised a full refund. It's been almost three weeks since I received the original instruction to wear the brace and I'm back to square one.
