Good product with room for improvement

I would give this product a solid 4. It's good, but a few tweaks can make it great. We use it to store a 2nd gen iPad that we dedicated to a car for our 5 year old daughter. Pros: Very easy to place and remove the iPad. Our daughter can attach and detach it with one hand without adult help. Strong holding power. For the most part, it's able to hold an iPad without dropping it. Relatively low profile. When the iPad isn't around, the device itself is very unobtrusive. It is not bulky and is not noticeable in our expensive German luxury car. Cons: The ball joint sags a bit under the weight of the tablet. Over time, the iPad attracts the magnet, causing the tablet screen to tilt down slightly. Even with the hinge fully tightened, it will fatigue under load and begin to sag. The hooks for the headrest posts have a slightly small radius. The hooks do not fully wrap around the headrest pillars. The curve is too tight so they don't fit snugly on the bars. This causes the hooks to be at an odd angle, so the mounting screws aren't quite perpendicular to the bracket, which in turn causes the plastic fasteners to come loose. Using a metal threaded tension nut or a slightly wider hook will solve this problem. The magnet is sensitive to the position of the metal plate on the back of the tablet. If you do not center the metal and/or magnet on the metal plate, the tablet will spin, especially in portrait mode.
