I have been using Xacto swivels for many years. I couldn't find the ones I had so I had to replace them. Because the tip rotates, it's great for cutting curves of all sizes and shapes. This product allows you to cut intricate, detailed patterns and can be used on a variety of materials. However, the actual blade is quite small compared to a regular sized Xacto blade, so the thickness of your materials matters. In terms of comfort, I know there are now products with seemingly comfortable grips, but I didn't find it necessary to explore those options. This product is my go-to when I need a smooth, flowy, non-cut end result. BUT, like all extremely sharp objects, this is NOT a tool for children.
