This rug is a durable, high-quality alternative to expensive tatami mats. Just what I needed to complete the traditional Japanese decor in my bedroom! After a few months the green tint faded to a beautiful yellowish straw color. When I lift the rug to vacuum the floor underneath, I'm still greeted with a pleasant herbal scent and a fresh shade of green on the underside. :) Plan to buy more of these to cover the rest of the floor!
