I got three of these instead of spending a fortune on tatami mats for my daughter's Japanese style bedroom design. Ideal. I ordered a 6x9 Gorilla Grip non-slip liner and cut it into three 3x6 pieces. Worked like a dream. Easy to clean with a handheld vacuum.

I really want to love this rug and give it 5 stars but I can't. The pros are that it's beautiful and smells so good. The downsides are that it's overpriced and after a month of use it started bursting at the seams. Very disappointed and sad that I can't find a durable tatami anywhere for a decent price :(

This rug is a durable, high-quality alternative to expensive tatami mats. Just what I needed to complete the traditional Japanese decor in my bedroom! After a few months the green tint faded to a beautiful yellowish straw color. When I lift the rug to vacuum the floor underneath, I'm still greeted with a pleasant herbal scent and a fresh shade of green on the underside. :) Plan to buy more of these to cover the rest of the floor!

I want to solve some issues I read about before ordering. Odor - The ghost had no perceptible odor, either good or bad. The color is brown with a slight green tinge. I expected that. It will disappear from the sun. To me that means it hasn't been stored in years. Quality - seems high for the price. On the bad side, and it's not the product. If you have hardwood floors, this can be dangerous. We solved this problem by putting rubber material underneath to line the case.

As mentioned, it's greener than expected. I was able to hide this by switching to warmer lights in my room, but that's not an option for everyone. I am going to use an Asian theme in my bedroom and this is perfect. It gives the feel of a tatami without actually laying the tatami. I recommend getting something to hold it in place. I've had it for about a month now and was even able to vacuum it with no problems. Overall, I recommend it and am happy with my purchase.

Good mat for my double size shikibuton, protects from carpet stains on the foam. I just wish it was a little longer. Although I'm not a friend of the price. Be sure to try to buy when there is a discount. However, do not buy this if you intend to use it as a yoga mat as that is not its intended purpose. REVISED - I read somewhere that these carpets often have an odor and can even get a layer of "mold" (!) on first use, but if they it's lying in the sun, burning out and being good.
