Ordered a size 6/7 for my 5 year old hoping there would be room to grow. After one wash it shrunk a lot and now fits perfectly. I would recommend going up a size if you want it to fit now and ordering two sizes up if you want room to grow. Aside from the significant shrinkage, I highly recommend this shirt. It's a good weight, not too thin. The material is pleasant, the color does not change from wash to wash.
