Review on ๐Ÿ”ง High-Quality Taisher Brass Fitting Nipple 4 Inch - Ensuring Optimal Performance by Ryan Brunson

Might be better than a closed nipple

This nipple has a hex ring in the middle. This gives you a flat gripping plane for the wrench. Some "closed nipples" are threaded, leaving little to no room for a wrench or pliers. I like both styles; depending on the project. When I am confident that the work will last, I will choose the traditional "nipple closure" technique. When I suspect that I might need to "unscrew" the fitting, I like the idea of a turnkey interface that allows me to choose which side of the nipple I want to unscrew. For example, consider installing a piston pump. When working with dirty jets of water, there is a good chance that the valve will need to be cleaned regularly. With the hex wrench you can choose which side of the connection you want to loosen. Conventional narrow-threaded nipples are easily damaged when the surface is gripped with pliers. Admittedly, iron nipples can be bought for next to nothing. But iron is almost guaranteed to rust in a humid environment. Use iron when building furniture. Use brass or stainless steel if your project involves water. And sometimes iron deficiency destroys your PVC fittings. I'll be the first to admit that all brass fittings are overpriced. But try to buy only one. The costs are absurd. This package is a pretty good deal. These nipples are compatible with iron, PVC, brass or stainless steel. Very smooth threads. If you are a DIY enthusiast this is a great deal. If you're looking for a one-time fix, consider hiring a professional before you mess things up. Much luck.
